Exploding barriers with Music through Internet

I have been sitting in my music room for the last eight hours, not practicing music mind you, but only surfing through the internet. End of eight hours i am happy and as satisfied as having practiced my music. What an amazing journey it has been through browse through the internet. Only in music i thought that i could transcend my physical and mental boundaries but with internet i find before i realize, i am in a different virtual world.

Musicians you can say live in abstract world and have a heightened sensitivity to feelings and vibrations. When a musician performs solo in front of an audience there are two things that happen. When he begins to play he gets internalized and forgets the outside world. He is lost in the music and mind is completely dissolved. Music takes over the soul and he becomes a channel for the music to flow through into the physical world and expression. Then comes a time when he begins to be aware of the audience around him. With the awareness he begins to also feel the vibrations and the mood. An appreciate audience who is enwrapped in music is able edge him on. He begins to connect with the crowd and play to the audience. Only musicians will know what it is to romance with the audience without words and only through music. Often the line and distinctions between the self, the audience and the music blurs and you keep swimming in and out of awareness.

I find that exploring things on the internet too is a similar experience. You get transported into a virtual world and are able to connect with an audience which is global. Am very excited with the various possibilities that i see for music through internet. Am not talking about commercializing music and downloading through the net. Am talking about a different plane altogether.

Music is a language that transcends all barriers. World over every culture has developed its own sense of rhythm, notes and music. We musicians are able to understand the various aspects of different types of music be it from the middle eastern country music and ballads to the Indian variety of instrumental and vocal classical music to jazz, Beethoven to African beats. Internet can play a major role in bringing together music collaborations and creating new platforms for all types of music to be available to the world audience. With more and more collaborative music being made by musicians of different countries, they are able to influence and bring together huge audience of the various countries to a single platform.

I can see a very thin stream of an idea of world music academy happening sometime in the near future where anybody from any part of the world can learn, appreciate and play any kind of music. Music and prayer are two factors in my opinion that can transcend all sorts of barriers and have an amazing quality to make people humble.

I repeatedly tell my students and i believe very strongly that music is the balm. It has the soothing effect to heal and transform the heart of people. It has an amazing quality like water to give life to the soul. Music is the language of gods and can be a great leveler to raise the humankind which is caught up with the suffering and complexities to a higher dimension where the barriers to You and I ceases and the identifies melt into the melody of music. Internet is like the water too. It is everywhere and touching all aspects of life over the earth. So imagine what internet can do to the world of music in reaching every heart that is beating on this earth planet.

Now let me quickly get back to my original task for which i took to the internet this morning. I have to order Viagra online immediately and have it delivered in the next 24 hours. Am looking forward to the next weekend where i take off on a holiday with my wife to attend a music workshop.
